This is a user manual for the MT Organizer freeware program. It takes you through installing and updating the software, as well as all the software functionality. It was chosen as a project because the existing documentation for the software is extremely limited and not user-friendly.
I chose to include this piece in my portfolio because I think it is a good representation of how a user manual should be assembled. I think it shows that I've considered usability and information architecture in the design of the piece. It also includes a good amount of instructional writing, which is a large part of technical writing. Additionally, there are many screenshots included in this document, so it illustrates my ability to work with them and to choose appropriate screenshots for a document.
